The Berlin International Film Festival, or Berlinale for short, will take place 13–23 February 2025. The annual film festival is one of the largest public film festivals in the world and attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. The highlight of this event: The program also thrives on the intensive dialogue with its viewers and so there are several audience discussions and specialist panels.

The outskirts of Berlin can be reached very quickly by public transport. The Schlachtensee and Müggelsee invite you to take a harmonious walk and offer you a wonderful excursion away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Gendarmenmarkt is one of the most beautiful places for a romantic dinner for two and for relaxing and dreaming. There, different restaurants offer the opportunity for an unforgettable visit.

The Humboldthain, one of the highest points in Berlin, offers you a fantastic view of the whole city. The special feature: the geometrically arranged hedges of yew and boxwood structure the garden and when the light breaks through the many treetops in the evening, you experience something extraordinary. In summer you can marvel at the lush and colorful blossoms of around 15,000 roses.

With its 43 hectares, the botanical garden is not only worth seeing in summer. In winter, too, the plant world from East Asia, the tropics or Africa offers many remarkable things. A nice walk can easily be combined with admiring the flora.

If you prefer it warm and want to plan Valentine’s Day regardless of the weather, you can relax in the Vabali Spa, for example. The Vabali Spa at the main train station covers a total of 20,000m² and is designed in the style of a Balinese village.
