One of the highlights of the London festive season is the incredible light displays across the city.

An instagrammers dream, entertainment for all the family, or just an addition to the atmosphere whilst on your night out, we’ve rounded up a selection of the best lights across London.

These are the big ones everyone heads to in London every year, and we understand why! Trailing the whole length of Oxford Street, Oxford Circus and Regent Street the stunning lights are a magical display that bring people to London from all over the world. They are well worth visiting, before heading off to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, or getting all your Christmas shopping done.

South Bank’s Winter Lights

A stroll along the ever popular South Bank is made all the more enjoyable with this year’s experimental light projections, neon canopy and intriguingly lit abandoned cars. It’s the perfect end (or start) to your day on the South Bank visiting all the tourist attractions, theatres and restaurants and bars. Our Park Plaza hotels are located just minutes away, so you’ll be in the perfect spot to make the most of these festive lights.

Marylebone Village

A hidden gem, just a few minutes walk away from bustling Oxford Street is Marylebone Village, which is hosting it’s very own festive lights experience from 10 November. This beautiful part of London offers a totally different experience to the main tourist spots, whilst also providing an array of stunning boutiques, eateries, market stalls , and our very own Holmes Hotel London. The ideal spot for your Christmas shopping break in London.

Covent Garden’s Piazza has come alive again, with a spectacular display of lights, decorations, a Frozen themed forest, and a new immersive LEGO installation! They’ve also installed a daily snowfall display, taking place daily on the hour from 12pm – 7pm, on the West and North Piazzas.

While you’re there, pop up to Seven Dials to see the wonderful displays continued across the capital.

Cool Carnaby Street

Carnaby Street is undoubtedly one of the coolest parts of London, and it truly comes alive around Christmas. Quirky neon light displays shine down from above, making your trip to the independent boutiques and bars a really special one.

Christmas at Kew Gardens

It’s the most magical time of year at Kew Gardens when the trees and trails turn into a Christmas spectacular of twinkling lights and illuminated tunnels. In its eighth year, it’s the perfect outdoor winter evening event and is planned to run from Wednesday 17th November to Sunday 9th January.
