Oktoberfest

If you don’t feel up for the trek to Munich Oktoberfest, you can simply stay in Berlin. A large number of Oktoberfest events bring the Bavarian way of life to the capital. Zitadelle Spandau offers Oktoberfest celebrations from September 15th to October 21st, but that’s just one example of many. Typical Bavarian dishes such as Hax’n, Weißwurst, Leberknödelsuppe, Obatzter, Bretz’n, Apfelstrudel and Kaiserschmarr’n should not be missed, with live music on offer to set the perfect backdrop. All that’s left is to say: “O’zapft is.”
